LION CUBS VOLUTNTERS NEEDED

Volunteer Opportunity: Junior Coaching Assistants (Westcliff Lion Cubs)
Are you working towards your Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award, or are you a young person looking to kickstart a career in sports coaching? The Westcliff Lion Cubs are looking for energetic, reliable, and fun-loving volunteers to join our Saturday morning coaching team!

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, build your confidence, and give back to the local rugby community.

The Details
Location: Westcliff RFC

When: Saturday Mornings

Hours: 9:10 AM - 11:30 AM

Session 1 (Ages 2–3): 9:30 AM – 10:15 AM

Session 2 (Ages 4–5): 10:30 AM – 11:15 AM

What You’ll Be Doing
You won’t just be standing on the sidelines! You’ll be right in the mix, helping our lead coaches deliver high-energy sessions. Your role will include:

Setting up fun drills and obstacle courses.

Encouraging the children and helping them stay engaged.

Demonstrating basic movements (running, catching, and scoring tries!).

Being a role model for our youngest rugby players.

Who We’re Looking For
You don't need to be a rugby expert (though it helps!). We just need people who are:

Enthusiastic: Can you bring a smile and high energy at 9:30 AM?

Reliable: The Cubs (and their parents) will be looking forward to seeing you!

Patient: Working with toddlers requires a calm and encouraging attitude.
