U14s ESSEX CUP FINAL on April 26th
Leading from the front U14's Captain Oscar and Vice-Captain Albie, made sure the lads put on a dominate display with a 9 try victory over Epping & Upper Clapton in the Essex Cup Final #1 hosted at Romford & Gidea Park. Beautiful weather conditions for the crowd made tough conditions for the players with glorious sunshine on a baked hard pitch, which was the only thing Romford couldn't control as they successfully hosted an excellent Essex Cup Final. Epping are much improved and on an upward trajectory after a recent rebuild and played some beautiful, good clean rugby, coached by very professional looking set-up (U14's might need to get some radio mics inspired by Epping). Westcliff's defence was outstanding and created the platform for the win, capitalising on the small margin differences. Game stopped at 49-10.
We're really lucky to have an amazing Coaching team, huge thanks to Paul The Socks White, Jethro Biltong Christensen, Handsome Dave Lambert, Pete Run Forrest Cammidge and last but not least Raquel World Cup Keenan. Also big thanks to the very supportive parents, without who none of this could be possible, yes even the slightly wild mums.
